Young Writer's Camp

Calling all young writers! This camp offers many opportunities to sharpen your writing skills with instruction and guidance from professional writers. Teen fiction writers, poets, a journalist, and a dramatist will visit our class to share ideas and then do writing activities with you. We will explore ways for you to display and publish your work. Sign up early, as the enrollment is limited!

Planning for 2009 Summer Institute and Young Writers Camp
Now that we are coming to the satisfactory end of the 2008 SI, save these dates:
On November 1st, we will hold an AWP retreat at the USCA Ruth Patrick Center from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
On March 6, 2009, we will be providing demos for district in-service.
Next year's SI will be held beginning June 9th. We'll be recruiting for great teachers; start thinking about recommendations.
Next year's Young Writers Camp will be held again in conjunction with the SI; tentatively, we'll plan on the third week again which will be June 22-26.
